Mona Kattan - Gloomy Nights

I feel like I’m on a trip
but the only thing I’ve taken
was a sip of this painful medicine called love..

I’m drunk from my thoughts
and my mind can’t speak anything
but words that hold your existence within them..

Did I dream you alive
or is this nightmare really a way
to slowly take me to my death,
death of my soul…

The aura I once held
does not appear in my shadows anymore,
the only thing following me
are traces of what you took,
and the blood of my heart
leaving a trail of sorrow behind me,

It seems the trails are catching up to me now,
before I even make it to somewhere new,
I reach for the light,
only to find the darkness has overtaken
before I could even gasp for fresh air..

Why is it that I’m still feeling you,
when you’re not even there..?
