It has been long since the audience saw Mohanlal in an experimental film, let alone a period flick. But coming up is a film which will see the actor in a novel avatar - Kamamohitham, a Malayalam-Sanskrit bilingual! And after Ravanaprabhu and Udayon, Mohanlal will appear in a double role again in this movie. The film is based on the story titled Kamamohitham by renowned Malayalam writer CV Balakrishnan and is to be directed by Harihardaz.


"The film is the story of sage Jaajali, who tries to learn the science of love," says the director. Mohanlal will play both the sage and a landlord Sagaraduthan, to whose body he tries to transmigrate. "The personalities of both the characters are poles apart and thus, there is enough scope to witness some great acting moments by Mohanlal."

The director reveals that the initial plan was to make the movie solely in Sanskrit. The film is set in the times when people predominantly spoke Devanagari and this is the reason why Sanskrit was chosen as the language of the film. "However, we later decided to present it in Malayalam as well as that would help the story's reach. As of now, its scripting is progressing in Sanskrit," Harihardaz adds.
