Michael Jeff Socratous aka MJS is a singer, songwriter born in Manila Philippines to a Filipina mother and a Cypriot father.

After turning 1 year old, the family left for the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, where he grew up with one more brother and sister.

He grew up with the musical influences from his father listening to great Greek folk singers and from his mother listening to Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Scorpions etc.

In high school MJS formed a band called "No Limits" which performed pop and rock songs from artists such as Coldplay, 3 Doors Down, Nirvana, Linkin Park, Santana etc.

MJS graduated top of the class from the Higher Hotel Institute of Cyprus with several awards.

Whenever he had the chance to perform, he just went for it, either at school shows or cultural event for the Philippine community in Cyprus.
