Figures just out show that 426 civilians and Iraqi security forces died in the last month alone. That is down from previous month, but still a heavy toll. And Iraq still does not have a government for this key time of transition.
Iraqis have mixed views on the withdrawal. While some welcome the withdrwal of American troops, others
think that their security forces are not ready to take over the country.
