Mitchell Gonzalez - This Register Is Closed

She's turning her head
Every few seconds
To see if I'm watching.
I am.

I'm at the register
Where I work
Mostly stand around
But they call it
Work.

And I know who she is
I don't know her name
I've never seen her before
But I know very well
Who
She is.

There's a huge sign in front of me
Facing her
And it says
THIS REGISTER IS CLOSED
But still, she walks toward me
With her beautiful hair.

She's in front of me now.
Her lips are made of glass.
But she's not for me.
No one is for me.
I point at the sign and she leaves.
