Unknown Soldier

Bang, flash, I can’t see, I can’t hear,
People, soldiers walking around
But I can’t see, I can’t hear, I can’t hear a sound
I feel fear…..fear of being an unknown soldier.


I feel something grabbing my shirt, I feel pulling
I’m getting dragged along the ground
Something hit me, everything went black
Black as night,
Like someone plucked the moon out of the sky
I feel fear…..fear of being an unknown soldier.


And I wake up, in deaths chair
With bolts of lightening going into my chest
With bamboo, sharp as pins, going under my nails
I feel fear…..fear of being an unknown soldier


My head pounding
As a man, speaking a language I don’t understand
Takes a knife to my throat
And in one slash
I become…..an unknown soldier.
