Mishra arrested, released within mins
Description
Cricketer Amit Mishra who was on Tuesday (October 27) arrested in Bengaluru over alleged molestation charges by a woman, was later released on bail. Mishra was in Bengaluru last month for India's pre-tour training camp when he had met the woman. Mishra was earlier booked under the Indian Penal Code sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 328 (causing hurt with intent to commit an offence). Two days after lodging a complaint against Mishra, the woman had withdrawn her complaint, saying that she had decided in principle to withdraw the case. In the FIR copy accessed by TIMES NOW earlier, the woman had alleged that she was assaulted by Mishra between on September 25 night. She had also alleged that Mishra tried to strangulate her and threw electric kettle on her.
