Mini Superleggera Confirmed For 2019

When a boss says they are working on it, sounds like we have a strong confirmation that Mini is planning to make a production version of Superleggera concept. When it was launched, the Superleggera was one of the most successful design exercises of the company.
Recently, Peter Schwarzenbauer, Mini Boss stated that the interest was tremendous when they showed the concept vehicle. They are now working hard to get it on the street. Wow, amazing, isn’t it?
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the story goes on saying that the automaker will be using the same platform with 3-door Mini because of its rigidity, low weight and versatility that makes it suitable for use as open-top model.
This means that Mini Superleggera will feature front wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems for high-end variants. It will use the same engine range as hatchback with 1.5 and 2.0 liter powerplants. If all progresses as planned, the all-new MINI will be ready for a market debut in 2019.
