Millie Fraser - Over
3 Views • Jun 15, 2014
Description
Don’t pull me back because you’ll pull me under.
I can’t swim when I’m with you; I let the water close over my head.
I want to jump, or at least fall, I can’t stand with you anymore beneath this thunder.
I see your lips moving but I’m making up the words,
The noise is too loud and this pressure is pressing.
That lightening that excited is now just blinding
And the rain we once lived for is no longer caressing.
You need to let go of my hands so I can fall onto my feet,
Don’t let me forget why I jumped, don’t let me topple backwards.
We cannot survive this storm, so I’m leaving for clearer skies,
The fall will dry my feathers, so I can learn once more to fly.
