Mildred Hunt - My Dear

Unfortunately, I could hardly find any personal information about this great vocalist who made several lovely recordings during the late 20's and the early 30's. Mildred Hunt seems to have the stage name of a Hungarian actress and singer by the name of Hermin Solti. Under her real name Solti he achieved success mainly in Europe in the 1910s. However, the link between Hunt and Solti sounds questionable to my ears, compare to two discs credited to Solti (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8iSM60zMNM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH50kmMSAhQ). I hear a totally different voice! This excellent performance, however was recorded in 1931. Miss Hunt was accompanied by a studio orchestra. It was quite difficult to find a picture of this forgotten singer, but I nevertheless found several posters featuring a photograph of her, which I included in the video. I apologize for the slight distortions which were not present in my original file but seem to have been caused by internet compression.
