Mike Finley - The Sugar House

The sugar house is shutting down,
You can hear the babies cry.
Their cheeks crumpling in the sun,
Hush little children goodbye.

Time to lock the summer house
And bed the waterlines with straw.
Winter wants its solitude
And double-bolted doors.
