Microsoft Shares Fall After Statement
Description
Microsoft ($MSFT@US) shares fell on Tuesday after it said that it expects a decrease in the demand for personal computers, and its net income fell 14 percent to $17.6 billion in the third quarter. Sales of its Windows operating system fell 15 percent during the same period, and although its cloud-computing platform, Azure, posted a 35 percent rise in revenue, its growth has slowed in the past year.
