Description

Ode to Clothes
My soft, fluffy shirt,
My Aunt got me for doing what I do best,
Helping,
Keeps me covered, like a hotdog in a bun
My Carhartt pants that I got at JC Penny, Protect my legs
Like a tubby boy protects his cake.
My thick fuzzy socks that I got for my birthday,
Keep my feet warm
Like fresh bread out of the oven.
My leather shoes that I found at a garage sale,
Protect my fuzzy socks to keep them dry,
Like a guard watching over his prisoners.

Clothes, necessary, common object needed for the human race.
But not everyone hast it.
That’s why I’m thankful for it, that I have them.

Even,

My smooth zippered coat, wraps me in warmth,
Like a sandwich in a baggie.
My wool hat, defends my ears from getting cold,
Like blubber on a bear that keeps him warm through hibernation.
Ode to clothes, I’m glad I have them.
