Michelle Tiddy - The Maze

You and I, what are we?
We are children lost in a field of corn
Ever turning, never finding, the exit
Searching, yearning, desperately

We try to seek, try to reach
Eath other through the leaves of life
But the dead ends just fool us
Cruelly blocking the way

Can I lay down here
Amongst the crop, where my blood
Will drip every dropp until I close my eyes
And you find me finally?

Because I know you can, I do
Amidst the lies of bending branches
You can find my heart, make it true
There is a somwhere for me and you

So, I'll just lay, very quietly
Feeling nature, the force pulling
Me deeper into the caverns
Of joy, and hope, and sorrow

Know that I'm waiting, for your kiss
To pull me up, and away
To make me stay on this earth
Where in turn, I'll wait for you
