Michelle Tiddy - Bumblebees

Gently, gently, softly, softly
The sun bathed the pastures in
A golden glow of hope and reflection
A new awakening, a new beginning.

The poppies turned their heads to see
The wonderful light of a new morn
And the breeze sighed amongst them
The law of nature uniting all

The fat bumble bees searched for the prize
The flowers held in their hands
Whilst all around the birds began
To fill wise trees with laughter

The beauty of a myriad of colours
Dancing in the dewdrops
A tiny sound of rabbits playing
And the wobbly legs of a new foal

Shhh... Don't interrupt this magic
This wonder that is before us each day
Some write about it, some paint
Some just close their eyes and feel
