Michelle Melody - Viva la difference...
3 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
I’m the Lemon not the curd
I am the tea not the pot
I am the baby in the cot
I am the Star not the light
I am the Eagle not the Owl in flight
But...the more I watch the less I see
any of these differences in thee
I think I want to rather be
the curd that turns.., yes that’s me
rather the pot to hold the tea
without it where would the Ladies be
Rather the cot the baby to hold, keeping the baby warm against cold Rather the light than the Star, untouchable rock, light we see from afar
Make me rather Owl than Eagle in flight
rather the wisdom in the night
than beauty a swift on the wings of light
The more I look around
It’s their sameness that abound
even the so called artist strange
all wear French hats not much change
In every house you can look
there is sameness in every nook
I am different I often hear
but to me it’s all too clear
sameness is what the world holds dear...
