feeling this overwhelming presence
a need to lift the bottle
letting the cold rim touch my lips
as the warm liquids rush down my throat
drowning my sorrows in a bottomless pit
trying to forget the empty feelings
release me from this dark tomb
unable to allow in any form of light in
nothing seems to take away the pain
always this constant reminder that things seem so hopeless
a numbing rush that clouds the lost
left in this dazed and confused state
for the moment everything is gone
eyes have closed and there is nothing left to think about
as the rooms spins and distorts from the liquid poison promenading through the veins
it all slowly comes back in
the hurt crushing the soul
emotions that were for a little while forgotten
reaching down to bring the bottle back to my lips
it to is empty
again feeling this overwhelming presence
still no release
