Michael Watson - Is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 1991. He held the Commonwealth middleweight title from 1989 to 1991, and challenged three times for a world title between 1990 and 1991. Watson's most famous and greatest performance came in May 1989 when he defeated future world champion Nigel Benn by TKO in the 6th round. Watson's career was cut short as a result of a near-fatal injury sustained during a loss to Chris Eubank for the WBO super-middleweight title in 1991. Nicknamed "The Force", Watson had great boxing ability and his defensive skills often get underrated due to his tragic career ending injury but he was an excellent fighter in his prime and most certainly one of Britain's best during the late 1980's and early 1990's.
