Walking down a lonely road
The only one I’ve known
For so many days in a row
Feeling the wind’s have blown
The next obstacle in my way
So that I am sentenced to stay

Tell me, how to get out
Of this british comedy
Tell me, how to find
A place that isn’t dark

Finding a wall of a thousand bricks
That can’t be damaged by my tricks
Is this the wall guarding your heart
Making me cry and desperately try
To find the one stone that isn’t too hard
For me to break and make my tears dry

Tell me, where you are
In this senseless game
Tell me, where to go
In order to feel whole

Sitting in this darkened, lonely room
That has been my home the last few weeks
Waiting for the one relieving call
That sweeps the pain like one big broom
Away from the lifeless, frozen creeks
That have run through my soul since last fall

Tell me, why I am
Waiting just for you
Tell me, why you are
Too busy to respond

Running down this lonely, frozen road
In order to be faster than the damned winds
Carrying the next obstacle so broad
That it bares my way and kills my wings
That I can not fight for you
Any more than I already do

Tell me, what you have done
To make me feel like that
Tell me, what I am about to do
Because I don’t know anymore
