Michael Philips - Touchdown

As he crosses into
the end zone
and the crowd
ejaculates in rapture,
that’s the money shot.
Now he jumps
into the stands
to merge with adulation.
That’s what I would do -
hug my lovers tight as we swoon
with simultaneous orgasms.
But I’m home watching it on TV.
I have no stands to jump into.
My desk is messy.
