Wondering where the years have gone
A wild, happy go lucky kid
With dreams of conquering the world
From throwing out the first pitch at the world series
To Catching the winning touchdown in the super bowl
Rocking across the country in my band
Even being a TV star and dating a beautiful actress
One year President came to mind
When growing up poor you dream of fame and riches
The littlest things matter then and still do
With the years passing by so quickly the dreams faded
This young boy became a Man
A soldier, a husband, Father, Retired, and now a grandpa
His dreams are healthy, Money and the beach
A big change over the years
Worn and torn he dreams of a relaxing peaceful life
A house by the ocean to go sit and reflect on the life behind
In a chair with cold lemonade he dreams of youth and dreams
For his dreams were shatter by life and work
Wishing for a youthful return to dream again
He reminisces about where the dreams have changed
To dream of the years were dream mean more
He'll pass his dreams to the young ones that want to dream
Dream of a better and richer life
But the life you live is the best dream you'll ever dream
