Snow falling, the fire going
The family heading home, will soon be here
The house so empty, will be full again
The decorations are all up, the tree so beautiful
Ornaments made by the kids hang proudly on the branches
The presents stacked so neatly under the tree
Santa will bring more tonight, while we sleep
Hearing the car doors slam, the chatter out there
The door bell ringing, the kids laughing
Hugs and kiss as each one enters, love you
The cheerful faces and the love flowing
Good to have them all home
Gotta love the holidays, brings families together
Supper being made, mingling in the family room
Christmas songs playing, everyone singing
Dinner served, grace being said
Talking and laughter across the table
Stories of Christmas past being told
Jolly old times, we all remember well
Chairs settled in the room,
Coffee and hot chocolate being served
Grandpa opens the book, we all stop to listen
With his different pitches he rings out the story
The Night Before Christmas, family tradition
Children tucked in bed, dreaming of Christmas morning
The excitement in their eyes and the cheers of joy
Present and paper flying all around, The oohs and ahs! !
Laughter and chatter feel the morning air
A wonderful Christmas for all
Merry Christmas with the love of family all around
May it be as cheerful as the ones before
Never forget the ones you love most this Christmas
