Michael Morris - Memorial?
4 Views • Oct 28, 2014
Description
A meal prepared by loving hands,
Feeds more than bodies, it feeds souls.
And binds us closer with those bands
That keep our hearts complete and whole.
For from the world at times we come
To find ourselves. And then the noise
We thought had meaning, is the hum
Of droning bees. And all the joys
We strove for and we thought of worth
Are seen as fair-ground candy-floss
And if, while on this fragile earth,
We cannot see that all is dross
Except forTruth and Love and Trust.
What have we learnt, that we would give
To those who follow, for we must
Show them, not tell them, how to live,
For words are all too glibly said
And fast from Mem'ry's pages fade.
But visions of a life well led
Of such are true commandments made.
