Michael Kolnhofer Standoff

On the New Year's holiday in 1997, Kansas City Police and news reporters confronted a 79 year old man named Michael Kolnhofer about his suspected past of being a Nazi death camp guard. An armed standoff ensued. Kolnhofer was shot in the leg and slipped into a coma, he died several days later due to complications following surgery.
