Michael Fischer - Time to Reflect

As the halcyon summer day
comes to a picturesque end,
I reflect on the august day
with my angelic lady friend.
We rejoice at the moments we built
in the dazzling sun’s encampment.

I gave you smiles that filled
the day with awe and wonderment.
I gave you the best of thrills
that, like the day, will be missed.
But in our hearts, they live on
like our favorite epic song.
