On Tuesday afternoon, CNN obtained and aired footage of Michael Brown‘s stepfather Louis Head shouting “Burn this bitch down” through tears in the immediate aftermath of the grand jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for Brown’s death.
The visceral emotional reaction came after Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden began weeping before the crowd, explaining how she has never harmed anyone and feels great sorrow for what the grand jury has ruled. Head joins her on top of the car and embraces her for several moments before turning around and repeatedly shouting to the crowd: “Burn this [bleeped] down!
