Mexico: protesters demand answers over missing student teachers
3 Views • May 16, 2015
Description
Around 100 people marched through the streets of the state capital Chilpancingo towards the government palace, where they held a rally.
During the march, protesters took down political advertising and warned they would not allow federal elections to take place next month.
The missing students, aged between 18 and 23, vanished from the Ayotzinapa Teachers’ College last September.
Amnesty International estimates that more than 25-thousand people have disappeared or gone missing in Mexico, almost half of them during the presidency of Enrique Pena Nieto.
