Description

Widespread protests over the missing Ayotzinapa teaching college students continue across Mexico, and university students in the country have gone on their second 48 hour strike. Yesterday, the Governenor of Guerrero resigned as activist priest Father Alejandro Solalinde and writer Elena Poniatowska met with Attorney General Jesús Murillo Karam to share information, including testimony that the 43 'missing' students were shot, burned (some still alive) and buried in clandestine graves on September 26. The country's academics and intellectuals are concerned that this is only the tip of the iceberg, and that the Iguala incident has far more serious connotations for Mexico. Clayton Conn reports from Mexico City. teleSUR
