Meta's upcoming "Avocado" AI model underperformed Google's latest Gemini and Anthropic's systems in internal tests, prompting a delay to at least May. Meta is spending up to $135B this year on AI infrastructure while also developing "Mango" for image/video generation and a future model code-named "Watermelon."
