Messi returns to training

Sant Joan Despí (Spain), 7 Jan (EFE).- After missing Monday's session because of gastroenteritis, Argentine Leo Messi returned to training Wednesday in preparations for the first leg of the last sixteen Copa del Rey tie against Elche.



Messi, who trained at the club's sports complex Tuesday despite the team having the day off, joined his teammates in a session that was closed to the press with all available players taking part as well as Barça B's Munir el Haddadi.



Messi and manager Luis Enrique Martínez were both at the session, the first time the two have coincided since the team's loss against Real Sociedad, which has generated much speculation about the relationship between the two.
