Merle Johnston Orchestra - So Sympathetic

Very little is known about this orchestra, according to the credits led by Merle Johnson (Johnston was a pseudonym for Johnson). Most sources state he was a saxophonist with the Sam Lanin Orchestra but he also made recordings under his own name in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Still in the latter case this is said to be the Sam Lanin band under the alternate denomination of Merle Johnston. Whoever is behind, this is a truly great record made in 1930.
