Melvina Germain - (732) A Tranquil Observation

It was a clear, bright, sunny day.
Not too hot, a slightly warm summers breeze.
The warm wind blew quietly through my hair.
I heard birds singing and the swishing of trees,
nearby the hissing sound of a hose while
feeding the tranquil flowers in a garden scene.
I saw a ladybird sitting on a tiny leaf with a
droplet of water on its tip. I noticed the grass
was still wet with the due of early morn. The
Magpies flew by as the cats scattered about
trying to attack the orange breast robins. I
spotted a tiny baby mouse hiding behind a
rock. Looking up a squirrel quickly ran on a
wire as if performing on a tightrope, back and
forth. The buzzing of bees around the flowers
blooms set a rather pretty scene. At the edge of
the blanket of green several ants quickly
crawled by, I observed one carrying it’s food
and others trying to pull the carcass of another
to its final resting place, they worked diligently.
I noticed a big hard backed beetle heading
toward the garden, my immediate concern was
for the lovely ladybirds that visit there. The
pretty yellow poppies danced in the wind, while
the large sunflowers held their heads with pride.
I stood there for just a few moments taking in
all that nature had to offer. What a true blessing
it is to enjoy all the free gifts of nature and there’s
so much more to be grateful for.
