As the sound of pain,
resonates through my ears,
I know that this scar,
is here to stay for years.

This hatred and sorrow,
won't leave my side.
I wish darkness would wash over me.
So I can run and hide.

There's nothing left,
but love to blame.
Violence, pain and,
downright shame.

There is no escape,
there is no way out.
Of that I'm sure,
and have no doubt.

Love is forbidden,
and hate is unmasked.
Misery is my companion,
and I know I won't last.
