Melbourne Metro project billions over budget

A week on from the shock cancellation of the Commonwealth Games and questions remain. The Premier Daniel Andrews has tried to shift the focus, marking a major milestone on his signature rail project, the Melbourne Metro. But like the Commonwealth Games the project is billions over budget. The opposition is capitalising demanding answers over how much the state is set to pay for the event's cancellation and railing against the state's high taxes.
