Description

For 25 years it's kept me warm and safe
Made by hands that cannot be replaced
Very few women in this world have I loved
But this woman an angel sent from above

A servant of God for all of her life
Another servant of God made her his wife
Eight children they raised on a preachers pay
They didn't have much but thanked God everyday

A Quilt made from love was her last gift to me
I display it proudly for the whole world to see
She was always beside me when Mom couldn't be there
This pillar of strength witht he gray in her hair

The day that she died broke my heart
But thanks to the Quilt we were never apart
From Italy, Spain, Turkey and Greece
To Beruit Lebanon when we tried to keep peace
In Denmark and Norway it kept me warm in the cold
To Portugal and France I just took it to hold

From the Island of Hawaii to the Island of Japan
To carry her memory made me one lucky man
I still think of her often and miss her so much
Her laughter, her look and especially her touch

Nothing in the World has ever been built
That keeps me safe and warm
As this old worn out Quilt.
