Firmanın kurucusu Manfred Brassler tam bir müzik meraklısı olduğu için markanın ismine Meistersinger (Master singer) yani usta şarkıcı adını vermeyi tercih etmiştir. Ayrıca, bir Sebastian Bach hayranı da olan Brassler firmanın logosu olarak yine bir müzik terimi olan "fermata" sembolünü kullanmıştır.
