Remember the sunsets
That turned into dawn
The walks in the rain
Sitting on the lawn
Watching the moon
Reflect off the lake
That card game we played
Emotions at stake
Climbing through windows
Sleeping in cars
Late night phone calls
While you were sitting in bars
Fights we picked
For no reason at all
Watching the summer
Turn into fall
But I loved you then
And I love you still
I always have
And I know I will.
I guess it’s the way you make
My heart skip a beat
When you wrap your arms around me
Just as I start to fall asleep
The way you just can’t wait
The way you change three times
Out of shirts you hate
It’s all these things
That drive me nuts
But it’s so simply you
And it’s everything I love.
