Meet Pepper: A Robot that can Express Human Emotions

A robot with the ability to express human emotions has been designed by Softbank group. The robot called Pepper can not only express human emotions but reacts with simulations of anger, joy and irritation.

It can converse with people, dance and demonstrate things. SoftBank, the company behind the robot, is planning to release 1,000 robots every month.

Pepper, the humanoid robot goes on sale in Japan this weekend. It will be available for $1600 per piece (more than one lakh INR).

Though the details of sales outside Japan is undecided, it is known that Softbank will partner with Alibaba Group (China) and Foxconn group (Taiwan) for the global sales launch.
