McIlroy undaunted by Dubai challenge

Rory McIlroy says he is focused on a second tour title in Dubai against a strong field.

The Northern Ireland golfer joins Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Tiger Woods at this week's Desert Classic.

McIlroy won the event in 2009, his only European Tour title so far. Last year he travelled to compete in the PGA Tour which yielded just one win at the Quail Hollow championship and this year he has decided to concentrate on the European Tour.

Having never played against Tiger Woods in title-form, the 21-year-old says facing the world number three, is not a daunting prospect: "I've gotten to know Tiger the last couple of years and I never felt - I never saw him dominate.

"I never played in tournaments that he played in when he was dominating, so I never really felt that aura. I sort of - when I speak to him, sort of play with him, he's just Tiger... I don't really feel like there's any sort of special presence about him. He's just one of the guys."
