Giacomo Mazzuccato, in arte Mazzu, nasce nelle nebbiose pianure venete. Poi la vita lo trascina via verso Bologna, il Regno Unito e l’America Latina. Cresce come autore e performer durante più di un decennio di instancabile militanza in svariate band pop/rock, affascinanti quanto fallimentari. Un giorno decide di fare tutto da solo e nasce Mazzu. Non chiamiamolo indie perché è qualcosa di diverso (e perché indie non vuol dire niente). C’è del blues, del pop, della psichedelia. Volendo sparare al cielo, il Romario dell’alt rock. Una voce sincera che racconta quello che succede dentro e fuori la testa di un giovane che prova a vivere in questo pianeta nei primi anni del ventunesimo secolo tra ossessioni, amore, morte e cazzi vari.


Mazzu is an Italian singer-songwriter. He cuts his musical teeth in Venice, then life takes him away to Bologna, the UK and Latin America. He travels a lot and grows as a songwriter as well as a performer, during almost a decade spent tirelessly in several pop/rock bands, all fascinating but unsuccessful. Then one day he decides to do it all alone. Don’t call his music indie because it is something different (and because indie doesn’t really mean anything). There is blues, pop and psychedelia in it. An earthy, sincere voice telling the story of a young man who tries to live on this planet at the beginning of the 21st century. His lyrics are journeys into the complexities of human nature, touching themes of freedom, individualism, obsession, love and death, all fuelled by an impassioned approach to every line he sings. He is now working at his first soloist album, willing to make engaging, inspired records and live shows.
