Description
Its a mega deal in the life insurance segment with HDFC Life Insurance and Max Life Insurance coming together to form an insurance behemoth. The deal will create a company with a combined market cap of `50,000 cr, making it the largest private life insurer. This is the first merger in the life insurance biz in over a decade. As a result of this merger there will be no need for an IPO for HDFC Standard life. Here's a report.
