Matthew Davis - Mountain Top

This mountain is so high
High into the blue sky
Higher than all the trees
Higher than anything

As I looked up to the top
I did not think and stop
About how to reach the top
How to make it to that spot

I started off on my own
But soon was shown
That I was a fool
For using the world as a tool

I ended up nowhere
Just back at the start
Of the mountain I feared
And back into the dark heart

I look high into the sky
And I try to find
The one that take me high
The one that was so kind

To pay our fine
And be our living fountain
So we could dine
With our lord on this mountain
