Description

It was a hot summer night in the middle of June,
The radio was playing our favorite tune.
Laying on a blanket looking up at the sky,
There I got lost in your big blue eyes.
Nothing could be better, it felt so right,
Oh how I'll never forget that night.

The crickets n' frogs were singin their song,
Down by the lake our feelings were strong.
I remember thinkin that our love would last,
Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.

You were lookin so good in my baseball hat,
Your honey-blonde hair hangin out the back.
Your long tanned legs in those cut of jeans,
Memories of that summer replay in my dreams.
Wrapped in each other's arms I held you tight,
Oh how I'll never forget that night.

The crickets n' frogs were singin their song,
Down by the lake our feelings were strong.
I remember thinkin that our love would last,
Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.

As the years go by I still think of you,
Every time I pass that lake I get déjà vu.
I can't help but to think of what might have been,
If that summer had never come to an end.
Would we still be together God only knows,
But I guess that is just the way that it goes.

Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.
The time we spent together it couldn't last.
Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.
The time we spent together went by too fast.
Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.
Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.
Now you're just a memory of a summer's past.
