seeing your face, beautiful as it is
will never be enough, to hide your scars.
scars that you show, when opening yourself,
showing everyone else; what’s within your shadows.

your face might be, something i want to see,
not only when you smile, not just once in a while.
But what’s your face, if it isn’t real.
The mask you’ll wear, while comfortable it feels
is not really you, so then, who really are you?

take a chance, show who you are,
somebody wants to know, someone might even hear,
the cry you make, when afraid of yourself,
afraid to make, just one little mistake,
you will slip and you will fall, bear the bad news,
and when worst comes to all...

I’ll be there, ready for you.
but i won’t be waiting, ‘cuase i’m human too.
I might be busy, i might seem involved
but i can dropp things quickly,
if you’re willing, to give me your all.

Or maybe it won’t happen, this will all come to pass,
my love for you, like that, poof,
could vanish into ash.
but I have struck my mark, with no better way to show it,
than within these endless lines, and in your heart you will know it.
and so if you ever feel this, you know who you are,
this piece wasn’t written for;
what’s within your shadows.
