Spanish sun above,
Time for a siesta
Until awakened:
Lazarus-like alive
I arise surprised
Almost sleepwalking
Straining to hear
The lyrics of love
In the gentle breeze
Like drifting incense.

Penthouse window
Open to inspiration
Melody in the air
Softly somewhere
This song ascended
From a room below
Filling the quadrangle
Rising up and over
The swimming pool
Music fit for healing
Dying and reviving
Tired from climbing
Finally reaching me
Throbbing of an ocean
Washing me ashore
To its treasure isle
For evermore.
