I truly never meant to spy,
Just caught some movement
With my eye.
I turned to look
And saw you there,
Didn’t mean to stare…
You did not hear me
Or see me around…
But I saw
And heard every sound.
And when I saw your vulnerabilities
My stinging eyes
And shaking knees,
I could not stop.
So I must beg your pardon, please.
For that security,
That well built wall,
I never meant to break…
Never… not at all.
