Matari is an Australian Indigenous artist from Dubbo. He grew up poverty stricken and surrounded by crime. Rap gave him a means of self expression and escape, turning to lyrics to make sense of his thoughts. Big names like Tupac, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were natural inspirations and paved the way for Matari's home experimentations with friends and local beat-makers.

After 5 years of local shows, MATARI collaborated with numerous local artists and landed epic opening performances for world-renowned artists The Game, Public Enemy, Lil Easy E, Bow Wow and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony under the alias 'Pry-C'. Pry-C went on to become a finalist for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's talent quest presented by Hip Hop TV Australia.

After doing time, he now makes his comeback as 'MATARI' with self-produced tracks.
