masti gate

Masti gate is one of the gates at walled city of Lahore, this is an old crowded populated area. It has more importance because there is located an oldest temple “maai ka mundir”, further down the street stands one of the oldest mosque “the mosque of Mariyam Zamani Begum” named after the mother of Jahangir. The “Masti” name comes from the word “masjidi”, relating to this mosque. Masti gate is located behind the Lahore Fort. There are many shoe shops inside this gate.
