MASSY RETRENCHMENTS

Nine female supervisors from various Massy Stores locations across the country have been retrenched.

On Monday, their representative union the Contractors and General Workers Trade Union called a news conference expressing strong opposition to the move.

The union says while discussions were on-going with Massy, counter proposals were supposed to be made in October, yet the company went ahead and served notices to workers last week Thursday.
