At least 45-thousand people in New York City are without power after a massive outage that started a few hours ago.
According to local media, the outage on Saturday evening has left elevators stalled and subway cars stranded.
The New York City Fire Department said it was caused by a fire that started on the west side of Manhattan,... and firefighters have been rescuing people trapped in elevators.
The subway authorities have closed four stations.
Utility company Con Edison says it's working to restore power.
